CS NORDKABEL (1)

Built in 1948 in Drammen

Length 72.0 ft.  Breadth 20.5 ft.  Gross tonnage 85.

Built for the Norwegian PTT for cable repairs. Fitted with a hydraulically driven paying out-picking up machine supplied by Johnson and Phillips. Power was supplied via a pump linked to the main propulsion motor. Also fitted with a single bow sheave. Based at Bodø until 1970 when moved to Bergen after being converted to a transport and workshop vessel and being renamed Tele 5.
